On the Ile de Ré, surfing is an institution. This is the perfect opportunity to initiate or improve your skills. You will find beautiful beaches in the west of the island, perfect for surfing or kitesurfing: Grenettes beach, Gouillaud beach, Grignon point or Diamond Head.

When the tide goes out, shrimps, clams, scallops or razor clams attract amateurs and the curious. Fishing is however subject to regulatory restrictions in order to preserve the ecosystem of the sea. Diving then becomes another way of discovering the island, as many sites are worth a look: the Christina Rueda, the steps of 'Élodie, the wreck of the Nautilus…

Golf enthusiasts will not be left out on the Ile de Ré! There are two courses on the island: Golf de Trousse-Chemise located to the west of the island and Golf de la Flotte to the east.
